MARIOBORO

In Sanskrit, the word "malioboro" meaningful bouquet. it may have something to do with the past when the palace held a big event then the road malioboro will be filled with flowers. Malioboro word also comes from the name of a British colonial named "Marlborough" who lived there in 1811-1816 AD establishment malioboro road coincides with the establishment of Yogyakarta palace (residence of the Sultan).
